1000 male and female members of rural communities in 23 villages of District Sialkot have been organized into 19 CBOs and they have been provided with the platform where they discuss and develop strategies to solve their problems on self-help bases.

The office bearers of UGOOD CBOs have been provided with various trainings in order to effectively manage the CBOs.

UGOOD CBOs have so far been an effective medium for social development and are serving as a plat form for the implementation of community uplift programs of UGOOD.

These CBOs have been very effective during the “UGOOD awareness campaign for voting rights” during the last elections and have played significant role in increasing the women voter turnover ratio.

Dr. Pervaz Ishfaq , UGOOD  Community Development Expert conducted these trainings. Dr. Pervaiz is highly educated and has vast experience of conducting community based training programs with international NGOs like GTZ & AKRSP. UGOOD- CEO, Mr. Syed Ishtiaq ul Hassan Gilani facilitated and participated in conducting the training.
