1.1 UGOOD Educational Counseling Program (UGOOD-ECP)
UGOOD believes that ECP for the parents, children and community is a very important aspect to enhance the literacy rate in the country but unfortunately this aspect has always been badly neglected. It is necessary that parents and community realize the important of education and it’s over all impacts on the society and the country. During the past year UGOOD conduct the educational counseling on the following levels:
- Parents
- Children
- Local community
- Influential people of the area
UGOOD through its volunteer’s networks approached all the above stated levels for the purpose of educational counseling. The ambiguities and concerns of parents and children regarding the educational institution, syllabus, educational environment etc were addressed and expert opinion was provided for problem solving. Despite the financial constrains the scheme has shown very encouraging and positive response from the communities. UGOOD plan to expand this scheme to maximum areas and Government, corporate sector, local and intonation donors are being contacted for this program.
