Human Rights

Human rights are those basic standards without which people cannot live in dignity. To violate someone’s human rights is to treat that person as though she or he were not a human being. To advocate human rights is to demand that the human dignity of all people be respected.
The right to property, freedom of religion, etc., the rights which guarantee the concrete, real human being in their occupation, their beliefs, etc. — but founded on the separation of man from man, not on the relations or community of people, — the foundation of bourgeois political economy.
UGOOD has launched various schemes for the advocacy and protection of human rights such as follows:-

. Human Rights Coordination Desk
UGOOD in all the areas of its operations have established human rights coordination desks the purpose of which is to provide a contact point for all the victims of human rights violation. All the cases are registered on the desk and the necessary action is taken on behalf of the victim. Presently four desks are operating in Islamabad, Sialkot, Lahore and Bagh(AJK). During the previous year 34 cases of human rights violation were registered on these desks.

  • Free legal Aid
UGOOD through its penal of lawyers provide free legal aid to the victims of human rights violation. During the past year, UGOOD provided free legal aid to 54 males and females.

  • Awareness programs against all types of discriminations
